Left of Center Art Gallery 2207 W. Gowan Road | North Las Vegas, Nevada 89032
KEYNOTE SPEAKER: PAULA FRANCIS
Topic: Recognizing barriers that have been dismantled and what actions are being taken to eradicate the obstacles now and for the future. This was a collaborative project initiated by women to inform the public of projects, events and visions currently being implemented.
Several other women of vision spoke for two minutes each about their experience in breaking barriers, and describing recent programs and their vision in effecting positive change for girls and women. All women submitted a one page commentary relative to the topic and these pages were posted on a community board at the event.
Discussion and strategies for media distribution and other sessions in the state will be facilitated by Paula Francis.
Contact Marlene Adrian at adrianmjlv@gmail.com or 702.655.2146, to send additional commentaries and for more information about future Bursting Boundaries events.
Additionally, a women’s quilt exhibit and other items from the Nevada Women’s Legacy Project, previously shown only at Carson City and Elko in 2015, were on display.
Don’t miss this amazing opportunity to learn about the journey women in Nevada have made from the early years of Nevada, through the women’s movement era, women’s current connection and looking to the future influence of women in Nevada. This event will include influential women from all over Nevada who are passionate about the power of women working together. Mark your calendar for these dynamic discussion events and actively participate in the discussion while connecting with other Nevada women.
