Jan was the first female elected official in the city of Las Vegas. When Jan became mayor of the city of Las Vegas 1991-1999, she renovated downtown Las Vegas with the Fremont Street Experience. In 2011, Jan became the Vice- President of Community and Government Affairs at Caesars, formerly Harrah’s Entertainment. She continues to serve on numerous boards and has received many awards for her service and contributions to our community. Jan is one of the most prolific providers of grants and other financial awards to improve the needs of women in our society
