Anita is past Director of the North Las Vegas Library District. She is an activist for women’s rights and a leader in promoting leadership training for women to enter the political arena. Anita was a founding member of the Southern Nevada Women’s Political Caucus 1987-1990, She was the first Hispanic to serve as Chairperson of the Nevada Equal Rights Commission, Anita was Co-founder of the Nevada Hispanic Business Professional and Women’s Club of Las Vegas.
