Mesquite Club Centennial Gala – Part 1

Part 1 depicts the atmosphere of the Gala event celebrating the hundreth anniversity of the Mesquite Club of Las Vegas, Nevada. It also includes the introduction by Jeanne Greenawalt, chair of the event, of Oscar Goodman, the mayor of the city of Las Vegas. The Mayor reads and present the city’s proclamation of Mesquite Day and honors the Mesquite Club. Recorded in 2011.

Mesquite Club Centennial Gala – Part 2 Introduction of Members and Guests

Part 2 of the Mesquite Club, Las Vegas Nevada, Centennial Gala includes the introduction of speakers by President, Joan Powell. The President of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs, Carlene Garner, congratulated the club for its hundred years of service and joining GFWC early in its history. Mesquite Club members of fifty years, past officers and friends of the Mesquite Club were recognized by Jeanne Greenawalt.

Mesquite Club Centennial Gala – Part 3 – The Program

This is the third and final part of the Mesquite Club Centennial Gala event. Jeanne Greenawalt introduces Dr. Linda Miller, who portrays Helen J. Stewart, a charter member of the Mesquite Club in Las Vegas, Nevada. She discusses happenings between 1911 and 1926. Other persons play small roles interacting with Helen. Acknowledgements are given to persons in the audience, including 50-year members and the musicians. Recorded in 2011.
